I have a many excel files I want make it central because then only I can use single query to filter data instead of open each excel file. I tried on Microsoft access it is not due to more than 4GB (MS Access only 4GB).
So I want try on SQL server what should I do? I want my database in SQL and front VB.NET 2010… and plus my all data in excel files have to import from excel to SQL server …

In SQL Server there is option to import data from Excel file.
You need to first create database and then right click import option.

I want to know how to import a website in sql server 2005 of visual studio 2005.it is an existing website actually i dont know how to explain.Somebody has given me the folder of database to run it on sql server. i dont know how to put that folder inside sql server.in that folder one of the program is in Ms acess, another is of type XML configuration type,other two files are in dreamweaver and the remaining two files are of the type .aspx.vb
I dont know how to run them. and i also want to connect that database to dreamweaver.

I developed a windows application. I used C# with .NET framework 4.0 & Sql Server 2008 for my windows application. My project is only storing the data in database from front end and retrieving the data from database to front end. Our client system contains only MS-Office software in his/her system. I do not have any problem to create a setup file using C#.NET setup & deployment wizard. But, I do not know how to manage Sql Server database in client system with this application. Could you suggest me with a solution?

I’m running into a problem when trying to change “True/False” values to instead display a “Yes/No” in my table. I’m using access 2000 through frontpage. I’ve even changed the values in access in design view to display yes/no and it does in access but it won’t on the web page. It’s been stumping/aggravating me for the past week. Any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The assignment is individual. Similar solutions from different persons will not
be accepted.
In this assignment you have to design and implement a “Hit Balanced Tree”
(HBT). HBT is a new data structure invented for this assignment and it might
not be of any use in real programs.
An HBT is an ordinary binary search tree where all the nodes contain an
extra attribute – number of hits. When a node is created the hit count is set
to zero. Every time the node is found with the find(), contains() etc.
methods its hit count is incremented by one.
When an HBT is balanced, all the descendants of a node have lower hit count
than the node itself. On the other hand, it is still a search tree, where all
nodes in the left subtree of node have elements smaller than the element of
the node, and corresponding greater than for the right subtree.
In other words: the root will be the node with the highest hit count. To the
left are the smaller elements and the larger element are to the right. This
rule is applied recursively down both the subtrees.
Implement an HBT and make a proper test of your implementation.

Hi, all. I am an intermediate in Java using MySQL too. Now, I learned all the basic and more advanced tehniques. I know how to use Swing, AWT, JDBC, Create tabeles and more. Many people told me that after knowing this I should go for something deeper, like to specialise that. They also told me that the best things to do in a future will be Web apps development or Mobile devices/Tablets apps programming (I assume with Android becouse of Java). I would apreciate if i could get some help withan SQL Server 2008 R2 issue
I have some .bak files for that were given to me to host a server, the issue is that i cannot restore them for some reason and i’m not sure what the problem is. I’ve been searching at many places regarding the issue, but always have something get in the way. Just was thinking that some live feedback would help, and maybe some interactive troubleshooting would be effective possibly. I’m not much of a coder or scriptwriter and am just getting started in working with SQL. A lot of places list ways to troubleshoot things and i have tried many, the main problem is, if you’re not sure what it is they’re suggesting, it’s of no use. Hopefully i might get better results here

In server i am having 4 databases and 3 are in standby/read only mode and other in normal mode
for 4th database due to space problem ,i placed mdf and ldf file in different drives
after doing that performance is reduced completely , on 4th database lot of read and write operation is there it has become too slow for reading and writing ,please help waiting for your suggestion..
